Is tea tree oil ok to use on industrial piercing?

I just got tea tree oil cause i heard it's really good for infected piercings and hypertrophic scarring. I have hypertrophic scarring and the sea salt soaks aren't enough. The piercing was infected early on cause i was in the woods a day after i got it, so it swelled up and then went down after and halfway healed up, now it doesn't really hurt but it just doesn't look right. Is the tea tree oil ok to use? Also how do i use it?

Yes, it's ok. I'm using it right now for my industrial too.
I used it on my nose piercing along with hydrogen peroxide to get rid of hypertrophic scarring and it worked in 4-5 days.
I think it will take longer for my industrial, but I think it will work. I used sea salt soaks first, and they worked, but took a long time, then I ran out (used H2Ocean), and got the oil.
Oh, then for how to use it, just clean around the bar and holes first with hydrogen peroxide with a q-tip. Then get another q-tip and dip it in the oil, then rub it on around the holes, on the scarring. Do that at least once a day, until the scarring goes away.
